Podcasting is nothing new. As technology moved forwards and video platforms became the norm, video podcasts became the new way to digest them.
Video has always been a great tool for communicating to the world. Seeing people get really passionate about a subject, or reviewing products, or even training.
Again, video podcasting (or videocasts) have been around for a long time too. But this time it's different.
So what's changed?
Online platforms now make it easy to build an audience. Video caters for 82% of all consumer Internet traffic by 2022, and mobile consumption rises 100% each year. The pandemic saw a huge increase in podcast channels from entrepreneurs, celebrities, influencers and even just from the average Joe.
Some customers we talk to ask if it's too late to start a podcast if there are already so many. And the answer is a resounding 'NO'. Do you think people stop writing books because the library is already full of them? No.
"The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is today". - I'll let that one sink in.
If you are an expert in your field and want to provide value to your customers, video podcasts are a great way to reach out to them, keep them engaged with you and cements their reasons for choosing your business by showing how passionate you are about what you do.
